It seems that I accidentally deleted a folder with a LOT of bookmarks in it. The ctrl+z didnt help me.
Were they saved on my computer somewhere?

Yeah, it was saved somewhere, but when you deleted them, Google Chrome deleted them from the bookmarks file.
